Republic India Fake Coins

Republic India Fake Coins

1 Rupee 1993 Small Family Happy Family
In 1993 RBI issued 2 Rupee Coin to emphasize the need of Population Control was issued with the legend “SMALL FAMILY HAPPY FAMILY”. But here we can see fake coin of 1 Rupee denomination bear same theme. RBI In this theme never minted in 1 Rupee coin.
1 Rupee 1949 Industrial Worker

I salute on the silly one who made this interesting coin of 1 Rupee Industrial Worker, imagine 1949 India Commemorative coin- while RBI Starts in 1964 first commemorative issue of  Jawahar Lal Nehru.
1 Rupee Fisheries 1986
Fisheries Commemorative were released in 20 Paise (Alm) and 50 Paise (Cpr-nkl) denominations but never in the 1 rupee denomination.
1 Rupee 1970
See this fake coin. Poor quality of engraving found on the border design also please consentrate on '1970's '1' and diamond mint mark. Easily can be distinguished this fake coin.

1 Rupee 1970 (Modified from date 1976)
Above 1 rupee, 1970 fake coin. This coin is actually a cupro-nickel coin of 1976 of Mumbai mint. The last digit '6' of 1976 is modified, so that it appears to be a zero. But this zero is smaller in size and appears towards the bottom of the line.

1 Rupee 1970 (Modified from date 1979)
Here's also a cupro-nickel coin of 1979 of Mumbai mint is used. The last digit '9' of 1979 is renovate, so that it appears to be a zero. But this zero is smaller in size and appears towards the top of the line.
1 Rupees 1971-74
On first look these coins looks like original coins, we can say that these are best in fakes but the other hand when we think that RBI never issued circulated coins in 1971-74 one rupee coins then we realized that these are fakes.
1 Rupee 1985 with interesting 'B'Mint Mark
We can not know what the art show Mint Mark making counterfeit coin. Very interesting fake coin see the mint mark looks like 'B' like proof coins of 1971-74.
1 Rupee Indira Gandhi Mala Coin

This Indira Gandhi 1 rupeee is a bad forgery and 100% fake. Any Indira Gandhi coin was never minted in the 1 rupee denomination, and also no Indira Gandhi coin showing the front face has been minted. Also What does mean idea of putting a mala in her neck.
1 Rupee Indira Gandhi Side face
Fake of Indira Gandhi. Indira Gandhi coin never came out in 1 rupee denomination. Moreover, on the five rupee the Indira Gandhi image shows the Western face but here the Eastern face is being shown.
1 Rupee 1949 Farm Worker

Another 1949 Farm Worker fake coin. imagine 1949 India Commemorative coin- while RBI Starts in 1964 first commemorative issue of  Jawahar Lal Nehru.
1 Rupee 1999 Shivaji

In 1999, India issued a 2 rupee coin to commemorate CHHATRAPATI SHIVAJI, one of Great King of Maharashtra. Though this coin was minted from all 4 mints , no 1 rupee coin was issued by any mint.
1 Rupees Subash Chandra Bose 1997
Subash Chandra Bose coins were released in denomination 2 rupee not in 1 rupee also see the Bose spallings in this coin 'e' is missing.
Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Centenary 1990, 2 Rupees
This 2 Rupee coin has Crud face of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The Ambedkar 2 rupee was never minted by RBI only the one rupee was minted in 1990 on his Centenary.
fake br ambedkar 2 rupeeAnother Fake- Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Centenary 1990, 2 Rupee
This BR Ambedkar 2 rupee is the best fake in republic India. The Ambedkar 2 rupee was never minted by the government, only the one rupee was in 1990. The obverse with the denomination looks perfectly fine, though an experienced numismatist knows that the style of the '2' in the 2 rupee coins has been changing ever since its inception. If you have knowledge you would know that the '2' in the 1990 2 rupee coin differs from the '2' in the 2000 two rupee coin. The '2' design on this coin is the same as the design on the 2 rupee coins of 2000-2004, meaning that this coin was made some 5-6 years back, and not in 1990.
1 Rupee Indira Gandhi

like someone to be made by Chhaini Hathauda, Very Crude face of Indira Gandhi Eastern Side again wrong side face.
5 Rupees SBI

This Coin is most rude in fake commemorative series. Made from iron and Magnet not from Stainless Steel (Genuine coin made from Stainless Steel) But these coins issued by fakers in limited nos.
5 Rupees 2007 Unity & Diversity
A number of such 5 rupee coins were in circulation, which were actually fake. We can recognize this coin being a fake from the fuzziness of the design. this coin is made of iron and magnetic. The genuine 5 rupee with same design was made of stainless steel.

5 Rupees 1997
I was got this crude n fake coin from circulation. See the differences- The Ashoka capital on the obverse side and the floral design on the reverse side are completely different. Ashoka capital nor A or B type neither C type- this one is home type series. Also less weight than original Cupro-Nickel  5 rupee coin.
10 Rupee Coin 1970 FAO Food For All

I took this coin image from eBay where somebody sells this coin to being fake in 600/- INR
Original Silver coin was issued to focus on the celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the setting up of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) which was formed in 1945, soon after the end of World War II. The date of issue on this coin was 16th October 1970 i.e. the silver jubilee of the date of formation of the FAO.
20 Paise 1971 Food For All
These 20 Paise coins are very poor forgeries as to be easily recognized. The 1970 sun and lotus 20 paisa brass coin acts a little pricey for its face value as a number of the brass 20 paisa coins were melted as people thought them to be made of gold. In 1971, the sun and lotus 20 paisa was not released for circulation but was only in the UNC and proof sets.
Another 20 Paise 1972 Food For All
The set released by RBI in 1972 was on the occasion of 25 years of independence and it had nothing to do with food for all. 1972 food for all 20 paisa showing the sun and the lotus was never released by the government mints, either for circulation or in any UNC or proof sets.
50 Paise 1992
This one is a 100% fake on first look. We did have a 25 Paise coin with rhino on it but no such 50 Paise coin was ever made. The mint mark (star below the date) is too big in this coin.
1/4 Rupee 1952
The first commemorative coin was released in India as late as 1964 and that was on the death of our first prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru- 1 rupee and 50 paise coins were released bearing the picture of Nehru. No commemorative was ever released before that in India post independence. RBI showing this lion in 1985, on the occasion of golden jubilee of the founding of the bank. RBI coins are also released this year in 2010, on the platinum jubilee of the bank. The coins include a first ever 75 rupee coin as a part of UNC and proof sets. Also the funny thing is what does means 'V' below date?!

50 Paise Jawahar Lall Nehru
No Indian mint issued this coin with a “Gandhi cap” on Nehru’s head. Please see the following fake coin showing a cap on Nehru’s head. This fake coin was advertised in a leading web site for sale.
10 Rupees 1984 Indira Gandhi
This Indira Gandhi 10 rupees coin is also 100% fake like 1 rupee. Any Indira Gandhi coin was never minted in the 10 rupee denomination, and also no Indira Gandhi coin showing the front face has been minted. Also What does mean idea of putting a mala in her neck.
10 Rupees Bi-metallic
Poor quality of minting this fake coin. The lions appear v crude. The legend 'Satyameva Jayate' actually 2 separate words, found written continuously like one word. Hyderabad mint did not mint any of the bi-metallic, a star mint mark appears under the date.
